Elvis Loves Patsy is a magical musical fantasy with genuine insights, all the famous hits, surprising duets, and knee slapping laughter. All wrapped up in a Christmas bow.
Elvis Loves Patsy imagines a world where "The King of Rock 'n Roll" and "The Queen of Country Music" meet and perform together.
Beginning with similar roots we follow the early musical paths that would lead them to stardom. Elvis Loves Patsy imagines a chance meeting when each is in-studio recording "Blue Moon of Kentucky". An amazing "Rock meets Country" duet results and a very special and enduring friendship is born.
Patsy, who is several years older than Elvis immediately takes on a mentor role with "The King of Rock 'n Roll", initially encouraging a shy Elvis to keep up his dancing and shaking despite early public criticism. Later she suggests he give out scarves during his performances and introduces Elvis to the "Thank you. Thank you very much" phrase which Elvis immediately takes to and which the ever-generous Patsy encourages him to adopt as his own. It would become one of his signature trademarks.
